Sacramento Kings forward Carl Landry has a torn left hip flexor and will miss three to four months while recovering from surgery, the team announced Monday. Landry, a six-year veteran, signed a four-year, $26 million contract with the Kings in July. In 2012-13, he averaged 10.8 points and 6.0 rebounds in 23.2 minutes a game with the Golden State Warriors. The 30-year-old is a solid scorer who was signed as a veteran presence for the young, rebuilding Kings. With him out, Sacramento's frontcourt rotation will include Jason Thompson, DeMarcus Cousins, Chuck Hayes and Patrick Patterson. Landry played 81 games for the Kings split over 2009-10 and 2010-11, being traded in the middle of both seasons.
