Beat The Heat This Summer - Staying Cool
​MAJOR DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, FIBROMYALGIA These are just a few of the labels the doctors have given me over the years. I am not my "label" I am not my illness. Labels only benefit the doctor's, it gives them a "place to start" in treating me, that label may open doors to resources, the label may offer treatment options, that label was needed when I applied for disability... but it isn't WHO I am! I am a wife, a step-mom, a daughter, a sister, an aunt. I am kind, trustworthy and honest. I am a woman who has been through a hell of a lot in my life and hopefully have grown and learned to be a better person. I love my dogs, to bake, country music turned up LOUD, spending time with my niece. I love nature (but not camping). My perfect vacation would be a week in a cottage on the lake, relaxing and spending time with family! I HAVE a disability, I have fibromyalgia, I have anxiety & depression...it doesn't define me, it doesn't tell you WHO I am, that isn't my authentic self.
